Contract Information

The Highland Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen City Council are inviting tenders for The Collection, Storage and Redelivery of Household Belongings, for a 3-year period, with an option to extend by a further period of up to 12 months. Each Council require a Contractor to provide a removal, transfer and storage of belongings service to be determined and notified by each Council, in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and all associated standards. The Contractor shall also provide short and long-term storage solutions, often for an unspecified amount of time.

Selection Criteria
  • Economic
    Insurance: Tenderers must hold a minimum: -5,000,000 GBP Employers Liability Insurance (where applicable) -5,000,000 GBP Public Liability Insurance. The Council will use an independent credit scoring organisation, such as Equifax, to conduct appropriate financial probity checks. Tenderers must score a risk rating of low risk in order to be considered for Contract award. If the Credit Report contains a risk rating between moderate risk and very high risk, Tenderers will be given an opportunity to provide additional information which will be taken into account during the Council’s assessment. Where additional supporting information does not satisfy the Council that that the risk is mitigated Tenderers shall be allocated a mark of fail and subsequently disqualified.

    Tenderers must submit 2 examples of providing equivalent or similar services within the last 3 years. Driver and Vehicle: All drivers must hold an appropriate valid driver’s license All vehicles must be insured and taxed as legally required
